community engagement and sustainability
Ryan Kwong (he/him) is a senior from Oakland, California, pursuing a dual degree between Healthcare Management at Wharton and Nursing. Ryan is the current UA nursing representative of the 53rd Session, serving on the community, engagement, and sustainability committee and as an external chair for Student Wellness . This session, Ryan has two main goals. First, he is excited to create more community-focus initiatives and advocate for the implementation of mutually beneficial partnerships within West Philadelphia. Second, he has a focus on student health, specifically increasing access to mental health resources and providing better advocacy. Of course, he will also take part in all of the nursing related projects as well, including providing resources to the nursing student body and establishing the nursing board as part of UA steering. Outside of UA, Ryan has had a focus on community service as he served as the President of Community Champion within the Nursing School and President of the Netter Center Student Advisory Board. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with friends, family, and dogs, going on hikes, and exploring the city for new restaurants.
