Candidate Statement (2011)
Hi friends! My name is Amanda Young and I want to be your Undergraduate Assembly College Representative and Class Board of 2012 College Chair. Under the UA, I have helped form the Green Campus Partnerships Student Association, advocated for more performing arts group spaces, increased open expression, improved the housing process, and helped coordinate airport shuttles. I also helped plan a Junior Class charity event, as well as 2012 sweatpants. My platform includes advocating for international and minority students, performing arts groups, as well as integrating Penn with more school spirit. Having worked as a representative for the past two years, I know what it takes to make our Undergraduate Assembly and Class Board efficient, effective, and the best it has ever been. Check out www.tinyurl.com/ayoungforua for more details. Remember, come March 28th, vote DOUBLE-A: Andrew Lum and Amanda Young for UA. Let’s re-energize this campus!
