Candidate Statement (2009)
As I have grown to love Penn more and more over the past two years, I have come to feel very invested in the quality of our experience as undergrads and want to work to improve it. This can mean introducing new services, such as better non-critical medical care on weekends and after hours, or improving upon current services like dining and internship fairs. Additionally, I feel very strongly that we cannot improve Penn alone but feel that UA is in a unique position to both serve and destigmatize West Philadelphia, both through fostering community service and through encouraging students to feel at home on and off campus through programs like discounted SEPTA tokens. So remember: despite the name, Marshall Bright is a Girl and would appreciate your vote for College rep to UA!
