Bio
G’Day! I’m Alec Webley, the chair of the UA’s committee on Safety, Sustainability, and Facilities. In one short year on the UA, I’ve already made meaningful change for students: expanding lighting to 44th Street, extending the Spring move-out deadline, and legalizing partying during NSO. This year, with your help, I will run for UA Chair. If I win, I will steer the UA towards providing services that make your lives easier, as well as advocating change at Penn. I will return the UA to its origin as a fundamentally grass-roots organization — ensuring that the UA talks to all students, not just student leadership, and at all times, not just during elections. We can only keep Penn honest and improve student life with innovation, transparency, and hard work, and these are the qualities I will instill in the UA if you re-elect me this year.
