What do Representatives do?

The UA is governed on a day-to-day basis by the General Body of thirty-five (35) Representatives: the President and Vice President, directly elected by all undergraduates at the end of the Spring semester, twenty-five representatives (25) elected from the four schools by all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors at the end of the Spring semester (16 College, 4 Wharton, 4 Engineering, and 1 Nursing), and eight (8) elected by the Freshman class at the beginning of the Fall semester. The UA is what our members do – so expect your Representative to be doing a little bit of everything the UA does! Most importantly, Representatives vote in weekly public General Meetings (held Sundays at 9pm) on resolutions, which are authoritative statements of student opinion. This site has the attendance and voting record of every Representative currently on the UA. Expect 8 new representatives in early Fall semester after the Freshman elections!
